Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah Visits Rain-Hit Mysuru, Kodagu, and Hassan

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah visited Mysuru, Kodagu, and Hassan to see the damage caused by heavy rains. Speaking at Belagavi, he said that more rain is expected in the next ten days, and disaster management, forest, and irrigation departments have been asked to stay alert.

CM Siddaramaiah announced compensation for animals that died, people who lost their lives, and houses that were damaged. He also mentioned that road repair works will be done once the rain stops, and schools and Anganwadis will have holidays.

He further stated that the state government is planning a permanent solution and urged people to cooperate. He noted that Belagavi received 62 percent more rainfall than expected, resulting in six deaths and damage to houses and animals. Compensation has been provided to the affected families.

Earlier, the India Meteorological Department predicted heavy rainfall in Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu in the coming days.
