Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah Prepares for November Bypolls
The Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, announced that the Congress party is ready for the upcoming bypolls in the state, set for November. He assured that all necessary preparations are in place. Siddaramaiah emphasized the importance of impartiality among investigative agencies, urging them not to favor any political party. The by-elections in Karnataka will occur in the Channapatna, Shiggaon, and Sandur constituencies.
Additionally, the Election Commission of India has scheduled bypolls for 48 assembly constituencies across 15 states, including nine seats in Uttar Pradesh and the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat in Kerala, on November 13. The vote counting will be on November 23. States like Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal will also participate in these bypolls.
In Rajasthan, bypolls will be held in Chorasi, Khinwsar, Dausa, Jhunjhunu, Deoli-Uniara, Salumber, and Ramgarh. West Bengal will see elections in Taldangra, Sitai, Naihati, Haroa, Medinipur, and Madarihat. Uttar Pradesh will have the most bypolls, with elections in Meerapur, Kundarki, Ghaziabad, Khair, Karhal, Phulpur, Katehari, Majhawan, and Sishamau. Assembly elections are also planned for Maharashtra and Jharkhand in November.
