Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah Faces Allegations in Mysuru Land Case

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced he will appear before the Mysuru Lokayukta Police on November 6. This follows allegations of illegal land allotment by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) to his wife, Parvathi. The Lokayukta began investigating after a court order on September 27. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is also probing a related money laundering case, summoning MUDA employees for questioning.

Siddaramaiah, while campaigning in Shiggaon, denied the allegations, calling them politically motivated. Despite demands from the BJP for his resignation, he remains firm in his position. The BJP accuses the Congress of supporting corrupt leaders. Siddaramaiah criticized Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, claiming Modi has lost public confidence and failed to fulfill promises.

The Karnataka High Court has issued notices to Siddaramaiah and others regarding a petition to transfer the investigation. The court has asked for details of the probe by November 25, with further hearings set for November 26.
