Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], August 19: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has stated that he is confident of getting relief from the High Court regarding the MUDA scam allegations. A writ petition has been filed questioning the Governor’s permission for prosecution against him. Siddaramaiah emphasized that he has done nothing wrong and that his political life is transparent.

He mentioned that eminent lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi will argue the writ petition and that he has been a minister for 40 years without any blemishes on his record. Siddaramaiah accused the BJP, JDS, and the central government of conspiring against him using the Raj Bhavan to tarnish his reputation. He assured that he would fight both legally and politically against these allegations.

Siddaramaiah also criticized the opposition for comparing his situation to former CM BS Yediyurappa’s resignation in 2011, stating that the circumstances are different. The MUDA scam allegations arose after social activist Snehamayi Krishna filed a complaint accusing Siddaramaiah and nine others of forging documents to claim compensation from the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA).
