On August 15, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shiv Kumar attended the Independence Day celebrations at Congress Bhavan in Bengaluru. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah shared on social media, ‘Reached KPCC office, participated in the flag hoisting ceremony today as part of Independence Day and paid homage to the senior souls who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country.’

Deputy Chief Minister DK Shiv Kumar also expressed his pride, stating, ‘This is my country, this is my land and every Indian’s heart is proud of it while holding the tricolor flag. Every beat of my heart is saying ‘Jai Hind’.’
