Karnataka BJP Calls for CBI Probe into MUDA Scam Involving CM Siddaramaiah

The Karnataka BJP has raised concerns about the state police’s investigation into the MUDA scam, urging for a CBI probe. BJP spokesperson Prakash Sesharaghavachar stated that an application has been filed in the High Court for this purpose, hoping for a favorable decision. The scam involves alleged illegal allotment of sites worth Rs 56 crore to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife, Parvathi.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is set to appear before the Lokayukta police in Mysuru for an inquiry. The Lokayukta initiated the investigation following a court order. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also been involved, conducting searches and filing a money laundering case against Siddaramaiah and others.

Siddaramaiah denies the allegations, claiming political persecution, and refuses to resign despite BJP’s demands. The Karnataka High Court has issued notices to Siddaramaiah and others, seeking details of the investigation by November 25.
