Kanwariyas Beat Up Mentally Unstable Man in Muzaffarnagar
In Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, a group of Kanwariyas allegedly beat up a mentally unstable man at the Kanwar camp at Meenakshi Chowk. The incident occurred when the man waved a stick towards a Kanwariya. City Superintendent of Police (SP) Satyanarayan Prajapati stated that the police intervened and saved the man, who is now under observation.
Tragic Road Accident During Kanwar Yatra
Earlier, a Kanwar Yatra pilgrim died and another was injured in a road accident in the Ratanpuri police station area. The accident happened when a speeding bike hit a sleeping devotee.
AAP Minister Atishi Inspects Kanwar Yatra Camps
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Minister Atishi visited the Kanwar Yatra camps in Delhi to check the preparations. She mentioned that the biggest camps are at Kashmiri Gate and can accommodate at least 2000 Kavarias. Waterproof tents, beds, and tables have been arranged due to the possibility of rain.

With the monsoon showers, devotees across India began their Kanwar Yatra on the first Monday of ‘Sawan’. Many visited temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and took holy dips in the Ganga.
