The Kameng Culture and Heritage Museum, celebrating the cultural diversity of Arunachal Pradesh, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Pema Khandu. The event was attended by notable figures including Kamlesh Paswan, Union Minister of State for Rural Development, and Lieutenant General Gambhir Singh.

Location and Purpose

Located in Nyukmadung, Dirang, the museum aims to preserve cultural heritage and boost socio-economic growth. It is part of the Indian Army’s Operation SADBHAVANA and the Government of India’s Vibrant Village Programme.

Chief Minister Khandu highlighted the museum’s role in preserving history and inspiring future generations. He praised the Indian Army’s efforts in border area development and the swift execution of General Upendra Dwivedi’s vision.

Features and Community Involvement

The museum, a community-driven project, includes a movie hall, souvenir shop, and more. It features 343 traditional heirlooms donated by locals. The project was supported by Phurpa Tsering, MLA, Dirang, and the late Senge Tsering.

Inauguration Ceremony

Over 500 guests attended the ceremony, including government officials, local villagers, and tourists. Traditional performances marked the event, celebrating the museum’s opening.
