US Vice President Kamala Harris made her first public appearance after Joe Biden exited the presidential race and endorsed her as the Democratic Party’s nominee. Speaking at an event for NCAA championship athletes, Harris praised Biden’s legacy and shared personal stories about him.

Harris said, “Joe Biden’s legacy of accomplishment over the past three years is unmatched in modern history…In one term, he has already surpassed the legacy of most presidents who have served two terms.” She also shared how she first came to know Biden through his son, Beau, and highlighted Biden’s honesty, integrity, and commitment to his faith and family.
