Washington DC, August 7: Vice President Kamala Harris held her first rally with her new running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The event took place at the Liacouras Center at Temple University and was attended by an enthusiastic crowd.
Tim Walz, a former educator and second-term governor, is also the chair of the Democratic Governors Association. Before becoming governor, Walz served 12 years in Congress, representing a conservative-leaning rural district.

Harris announced her choice of Walz on social media, expressing pride in having him on the team. Walz also shared his excitement, calling it the honor of a lifetime to join Harris in the campaign.
The chemistry between Harris and Walz was noted as being very important and a good fit for both of them. This announcement follows President Joe Biden’s decision to quit the presidential race amid concerns over his age. Meanwhile, Donald Trump has named JD Vance as his running mate for his comeback attempt to the White House.
