A special pooja was held at the family temple in Thulasendrapuram, Tamil Nadu, to invoke blessings for Kamala Harris’ upcoming presidential election in the United States. The villagers of Thulasendrapuram are excited and proud of Harris, who has been endorsed by Joe Biden as the Democratic Party’s Presidential nominee.

The Shri Dharmasastha Temple in the village has a unique wall with the names of contributors etched in Tamil, including Kamala Harris. Villagers expressed their support and prayers for her success in the election. One woman said, “We are so happy that she is being nominated. And we support Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. We wish her all the very best and good luck to her. We wish her victory.”

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris is actively securing support for her White House bid. She engaged with key figures on Capitol Hill, including Rep Pramila Jayapal, Rep Nanette Barragan, and Rep Ann McLane Kuster, all of whom have endorsed her. Rep. Mark Pocan also expressed his enthusiastic support on social media.

Harris expressed gratitude for Biden’s endorsement, stating, “I am honoured to have the President’s endorsement, and my intention is to earn and win this nomination.” She plans to maintain an aggressive travel schedule to bolster her campaign efforts. Major Democratic PACs, including the AAPI Victory Fund, the Collective PAC, and the Latino Victory Fund, have also endorsed her, signalling a broadening coalition of support.
