K T Rama Rao Accuses Telangana CM Revanth Reddy of Corruption in Rs 1,132 Crore Contract

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India] September 21: K T Rama Rao, the working president of Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS), has made serious corruption allegations against Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Rao claims that Reddy awarded a contract worth Rs 1,132 crore to his brother-in-law, Srujan Reddy, through the Municipal Department.

Rao stated, “In the Municipal Department, a big scam happened of Rs 8868 crore through the public health department by the CM. He passed the tender and gave work worth Rs 1,132 crores to his brother-in-law. He gave such a big contract to a company which has no technical experience for that.”

Rao further accused the CM of flouting rules and demanded an immediate inquiry by the Central Government. He said, “You swore not to profit any family through your office, but today you gave your brother-in-law, Srujan Reddy, such a project and flouted the rules.”

Rao has written to ML Khattar, the Urban Development Minister, requesting an investigation and strict action against the CM and all responsible parties. He also posted on X, urging the Union Government to review every tender conducted by the Revanth Reddy-led Congress government in Telangana.

Rao highlighted that this is not the first instance of alleged corruption, recalling a previous accusation of a Rs 1,000 crore scam involving the procurement of fine variety rice and paddy lifting in the state.
