In Shahdara, Delhi, a 17-year-old has been detained for his involvement in a double murder case. The juvenile, a distant relative of the victims, was the main conspirator in the plot to kill 40-year-old Aakash Sharma over a Rs 70,000 debt dispute.

The Incident

The attack occurred on Diwali evening when two individuals on a motorcycle targeted Aakash Sharma. Both Aakash and his nephew Rishabh were killed, while Aakash’s son Krish was injured.

Details of the Conspiracy

DCP Prashant Gautam revealed that the minor had a dispute with Aakash Sharma, who had promised to lend him Rs 70,000 but later refused. In retaliation, the minor hired a shooter to kill Aakash. The conspiracy was planned over 15 to 17 days.

The minor confessed that the intention was only to kill Aakash, but Rishabh was shot when he tried to catch the shooter. Aakash was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital, and Rishabh succumbed to his injuries later.

Police Investigation

The Police Control Room received a call about the shooting in Bihari Colony, Shahdara. Upon arrival, police found three injured individuals who were rushed to the hospital. Eyewitness Yash Sharma, a relative, stated that the minor arrived with another person on a scooty and instructed the shooter to kill Aakash.

A case has been registered under sections 103, 109, and 351(3) of the Indian Penal Code at the Farsh Bazar Police Station. The police are continuing their investigation to apprehend the other accused.
