A judicial inquiry commission has been formed to investigate the Hathras stampede incident on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The commission, led by retired Justice Brijesh Kumar Srivastava, held a meeting in Lucknow and plans to visit Hathras soon.

The commission includes former IAS officer Hemant Rao and former IPS officer Bhavesh Kumar Singh. They will gather evidence, question witnesses, and submit a report within two months.

Justice Srivastava stated, “We have to go on the path of truth, so soon we will go to Hathras and interrogate the people. If needed, help will be taken from the media as well.”

The police are also investigating the criminal history of ‘Bhole Baba,’ a self-styled godman who conducted a ‘Satsang’ in Hathras where the stampede occurred. ‘Bhole Baba,’ identified as Suraj Pal, is also known by the names Narayan Sakar Hari and Jagat Guru Vishwahari.
