JSW Energy Expands Renewable Portfolio with New Agreements

JSW Energy Limited’s subsidiaries, JSW Renew Energy Six Limited and JSW Renew Energy Thirty Limited, have signed Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL). These agreements are for two Solar-Wind Hybrid Projects, each with a capacity of 600 MW, totaling 1,200 MW. The projects are expected to be completed within 24 months and will be connected to Maharashtra’s State Transmission Utility.

Project Details

The company received Letters of Award for these projects on August 29, 2024, and September 10, 2024. The PPAs are valid for 25 years with a tariff of Rs 3.60 per kilowatt-hour (kWh).

JSW Energy’s Future Plans

JSW Energy aims to expand its power generation capacity to 20 GW and energy storage capacity to 40 GWh by 2030. Currently, it has a project pipeline of 8.3 GW, with 4.4 GW already under signed PPAs. The company is committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2050.
