JP Nadda to Unveil New Health Initiatives at Ayushman Bharat Event in Delhi

Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare JP Nadda will unveil three major health initiatives at the ‘Ayushman Bharat Health’ event at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi on June 28. The event will also be attended by Ministers of State for Health and Family Welfare, Jadhav Prataprao Ganpatrao and Anupriya Singh Patel.

New Initiatives

The Union Health Minister will launch a virtual National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) assessment for Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAM) Sub-centres. This system will save time and costs while ensuring quality in public health facilities. The virtually assessed health AAM-SC will receive the NQAS certificate.

Additionally, the Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS) guidelines, which set quality benchmarks for public health facilities, will be supported by a new dashboard. This dashboard will help health institutions at national, state, and district levels to monitor compliance with IPHS standards and take necessary actions.

NQAS for Integrated Public Health Laboratories (IPHL) at District Hospitals will also be released. These standards will improve the quality and reliability of lab test results, gaining trust from clinicians, patients, and the public.

Revised guidelines for Kayakalp and a new functionality for instant licensing and registration through the Food Safety and Compliance System (FoSCoS) will also be launched. FoSCoS is a pan-India IT platform designed to simplify food safety regulatory processes.

Event Attendees

Key stakeholders, including senior officials from Central and State Governments, healthcare providers, and international health organizations, will attend the event.
