Ganesh Utsav Celebrations at CM Shinde’s Residence

Mumbai, Maharashtra – On Saturday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President and Union Minister JP Nadda, along with Union Ministers Piyush Goyal and Bhupendra Yadav, attended the Ganesh Utsav at ‘Varsha’, the residence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

JP Nadda also visited Lalbaugcha Raja in Mumbai to offer prayers. Earlier in the week, Home Minister Amit Shah visited CM Shinde’s official residence, Varsha Bungalow, to offer prayers to Lord Ganesh. He also visited the residence of Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis.

Lalbaugcha Raja: A Central Attraction

The iconic Ganesh idol at Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal is a major attraction during the festival, drawing thousands of worshippers. The first look of this year’s Lalbaugcha Raja was unveiled on September 5. The idol, located at Putlabai Chawl, has been a place of worship since 1934 and is managed by the Kambli family.

Ganesh Chaturthi: A 10-Day Festival

Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayak Chaturthi or Vinayak Chavithi, is a 10-day festival that began on September 6 and will continue until Anantha Chaturdashi. During this time, Lord Ganesha is worshipped as the god of new beginnings and the remover of obstacles. Devotees across India and abroad celebrate by welcoming Ganesh idols into their homes, offering prayers, and visiting colourful pandals.
