JP Nadda Criticizes West Bengal Government Over Assault Video

BJP President JP Nadda has strongly criticized the Trinamool Congress-led government in West Bengal after a disturbing video surfaced showing a man assaulting a woman in Chopra, Uttar Dinajpur. Nadda stated that the state, under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, is unsafe for women.

In response to the video, the West Bengal police have filed a suo motu case and arrested one person, identified as Tajmul Haque alias JCB. The police have also provided security to the victim and are continuing their investigation.

BJP leader Rajeev Chandrasekhar condemned the appeasement politics of the INDIA bloc, suggesting that it undermines constitutional rights. Additionally, BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul has called for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the incident.

Union Minister and West Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar has formed a seven-member team to investigate the alleged assault. The team includes BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul, MLA Sikha Chatterjee, Phalguni Patra, Shashi Agnihotri, MLA Malati Rava Roy, Mafuja Khatun, and MP Jayanta Roy.

The West Bengal Police have registered a case regarding the incident and have arrested three suspects.
