Josh Hazlewood Misses T20I Series Against Scotland Due to Injury
Josh Hazlewood, a seasoned Australian pacer, will miss the upcoming T20I series against Scotland due to a calf strain he sustained during training. The 33-year-old is expected to be available for Australia’s white-ball tour of England starting September 11.
Riley Meredith will replace Hazlewood, marking his return to the Australian team after three years. Meredith last played for Australia in 2021 against the West Indies and has been active in white-ball cricket with Somerset in the English season.
Australia’s revamped pace attack for the series against Scotland includes Riley Meredith, Xavier Bartlett, Sean Abbott, and Nathan Ellis.
