Jordan Murray Returns to Jamshedpur FC for ISL 2024-25 Season
New Delhi, July 6: Jamshedpur FC has announced that forward Jordan Murray has re-signed with the club on a one-year contract with a performance-based extension. This move is expected to boost the team as they prepare for the ISL 2024-25 season under head coach Khalid Jamil.
Jordan Murray’s Previous Contributions
Murray last played for Chennaiyin FC in the ISL 2023-24 season, helping them reach the playoffs. He was also a key player in Jamshedpur FC’s 2021-22 Shield-winning campaign, scoring 18 goals and providing five assists over three seasons in India.
Murray’s Excitement
Murray expressed his joy about returning to Jamshedpur FC, saying, “I’m overjoyed to be back at Jamshedpur FC! My goal is to relive the history we created together and perform at the highest level. The furnace is an intimidating venue for opposing teams, and I’m excited to be a part of it once again. Under coach Jamil’s leadership, I’m ready to give my all and prove my dedication to the club, my teammates, and the passionate fans.”

Head coach Khalid Jamil praised Murray’s experience and versatility, stating, “Jordan Murray is a seasoned player whose experience in Indian football is invaluable, and his ability to adapt to different striking roles is a huge asset. He’s versatile enough to play as both a lone striker and a second striker. I’ve spoken to him at length, and I know he’s aware of the competition he’ll face this season. It’s a crucial time for him to prove his worth, and I believe he has the talent and work ethic to rise to the challenge. He’s a quality striker who can make a real difference for us.”
Murray’s Football Journey
Murray’s career began at Bulli FC and continued with the youth team of Wollongong Wolves in the National Premier League. He then moved to APIA Leichhardt in Sydney, scoring 43 goals in 64 games and earning the Golden Boot in 2018. He played in the A-League with Central Coast Mariners before making his ISL debut with Kerala Blasters FC in the 2021-22 season. After a successful stint with Jamshedpur FC, he played for Thai club Nakhon Ratchasima FC and Chennaiyin FC.
Murray will wear squad number 17 and join his teammates for pre-season training in July.
