In Ranchi, Jharkhand, JMM MP Mahua Maji criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for not doing enough for the state despite being in power for 17-18 years. She accused the BJP of failing to address issues like human trafficking and not providing coal royalties. Maji praised Chief Minister Hemant Soren for his efforts to improve the state in a short time.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren also accused the BJP of “looting” Jharkhand for over 20 years. He emphasized his commitment to revitalizing the state since taking office in December 2019. Soren highlighted the JMM government’s initiatives, such as the Maiya Samman Yojana and Phool Jhano Ashirwad Abhiyan, aimed at uplifting the people.

The Election Commission of India announced the schedule for the upcoming Jharkhand and Maharashtra Assembly elections. Jharkhand’s elections will be held on November 13 and 20, with results announced on November 23. The state has 2.60 crore eligible voters, including 11.84 lakh first-time voters.
