JJP and ASP Announce Candidates for Haryana Elections

The Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) and Azad Samaj Party (ASP) have announced two more candidates for the Haryana assembly elections. JJP has fielded Rajita Singh from Shahabad and Suresh Saini from Narnaul. They are also supporting independent candidate Sajjan Dhul from Pundri.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has released its seventh list of candidates, covering all 90 assembly seats. The stage is set for a multi-cornered contest in Haryana, with the BJP and Congress also announcing their candidates. The nomination process ended on Thursday.

Leaders of various parties have expressed confidence in their victory. The BJP is seeking a third straight term, while Congress, AAP, and other parties aim to oust it from power. Some leaders resigned from their parties over denial of tickets.

Voting for the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5, and votes will be counted on October 8. In the 2019 assembly polls, the BJP emerged as the single-largest party with 40 seats, while Congress won 30 seats. The BJP formed the government in alliance with JJP.
