On October 5, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren inaugurated the Kantatoli flyover in Ranchi, a major step towards easing traffic in the city. Alongside this, he announced 31 new road projects worth Rs 3,624 crore, including four new flyovers in Dhanbad, Jamshedpur, and Ranchi.

New Infrastructure Projects

In a social media post, Soren highlighted the inauguration of the Kantatoli Flyover, Birsa Chowk-Dhurva Roundabout 4-Lane Smart Path, and Kanko Chowk-Vinod Bihari Chowk Gol Building 8-Lane Path in Dhanbad. He also laid the foundation for the Sirmatoli-Kantatoli connecting flyover and Sahajanand Chowk-Kanke Road Flyover.

Government’s Ongoing Efforts

After the inauguration, Soren drove on the new road with his wife and MLA Kalpana Murmu Soren. He emphasized that the Kantatoli flyover was completed in a record time of three years. Soren assured that the government is actively working on various schemes as the state prepares for upcoming assembly elections.

Upcoming Elections

Jharkhand is set to hold elections for its 81-member legislative assembly by December 2024. The Election Commission of India, led by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, recently reviewed poll preparations in Ranchi, meeting with representatives from various political parties.
