Deoghar (Jharkhand) [India], July 20: Ahead of the Shrawani festival, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren assured that the state government will ensure that devotees do not face any inconvenience. He stated, “Shrawani Mela will be held in the state, in which lakhs of devotees will come. Today we held a review meeting regarding this, almost all the preparations for the Mela have been completed. It will be monitored 24 hours. We will ensure that the devotees do not face any kind of inconvenience, any kind of negligence will not be tolerated.”

He further emphasized that all devotees will be able to return safely. The Baba Baidyanath Temple, also known as Baidyanath Dham, is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, the most sacred abodes of Shiva. Each year, nearly 50 lakh devotees visit the temple during the month-long Shrawani Mela, which runs from July 17 to August 15. Devotees from different states come to Deoghar to offer prayers and rituals. Authorities have made elaborate arrangements and increased security for the festival.
