Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren Challenges BJP Ahead of State Elections
In a bold statement, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for their tactics in the upcoming state elections. He urged the BJP to confront him directly rather than attacking “from behind like the cowardly British.” Soren accused the BJP of spending vast amounts to tarnish his image, using agencies like the ED and CBI.
He questioned the BJP’s “double engine” government, highlighting issues during their tenure, such as the closure of 13,000 schools, cancellation of 11 lakh ration cards, and lack of JPSC exams. Soren promised that if re-elected, his government would prioritize the welfare of Jharkhand’s people.
The Jharkhand Assembly elections are set for November 13 and 20, with results on November 23. The state has 2.6 crore eligible voters, including many first-time and young voters. In previous elections, the JMM, BJP, and Congress have been key players.
