Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren Accuses BJP of Creating Communal Tension
In Bokaro, Jharkhand, Chief Minister Hemant Soren addressed a public rally, accusing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders of trying to divide society along religious lines. He claimed that BJP leaders from various states are attempting to create communal tension between Hindus and Muslims. Soren expressed confidence that the INDIA bloc will win the Jharkhand assembly elections by a significant margin.
He urged the people of Jharkhand to metaphorically “use bow and arrow” against those conspiring against the state. Meanwhile, Jharkhand Chief Election Officer K Ravi Kumar reported that voting in 43 assembly constituencies was conducted peacefully on November 13. The second phase of elections is scheduled for November 20, with 1.23 crore voters and 257 candidates. The remaining 38 seats will also see elections on November 20, and vote counting will occur on November 23.
