Jharkhand Assembly Elections Begin

The first phase of the Jharkhand assembly elections started with BJP’s Ranchi candidate, CP Singh, casting his vote. Voting is taking place in 43 constituencies across 15 districts. CP Singh encouraged everyone to vote, calling it both a right and a duty.

Over 200 security companies are deployed to ensure safety. Voting ends at 5 pm, with some sensitive booths closing at 4 pm. Notable candidates include former Chief Minister Champai Soren and Congress leader Ajoy Kumar.

Parallel Elections

Alongside Jharkhand’s elections, bye-elections for 31 assembly seats in 10 states, including Kerala’s Wayanad, are also taking place. Results will be announced on November 23.
