The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has announced candidates for two more seats in the upcoming Assembly elections, scheduled for November 13 and 20. Ganesh Mehli will contest from Saraikela, and Ramsurya Munda from Khunti.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s Remarks

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, after filing his nomination, criticized Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, calling him a ‘Pravaasi’ CM who will leave after the elections. Soren will contest from the Barhait constituency.

Kalpana Soren’s Candidacy

Kalpana Soren, JMM leader and wife of Hemant Soren, filed her nomination for the Gandey constituency, which she currently represents.

Party Alliances and Candidate Lists

JMM and Congress will share 70 seats in the 81-member Assembly, with the remaining 11 seats divided between RJD and Left parties. The BJP has announced 66 candidates, including Babulal Marandi from Dhanwar and Meera Munda from Potka.
