The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has unveiled its first list of 35 candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Jharkhand, scheduled for November 13 and 20. Chief Minister Hemant Soren will run from the Barhait constituency, while his wife, Kalpana Soren, will contest from Gandey. Other notable candidates include MT Raja from Rajmahal and Dhananjay Soren from Boriyo.

Meanwhile, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has released a list of six candidates. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav confirmed that seat-sharing talks have concluded, and the INDIA alliance remains united, with support for Hemant Soren as Chief Minister.

The Communist Party of India (CPI) expressed dissatisfaction with the seat-sharing arrangement but announced it would field candidates in 15 seats. Earlier, Hemant Soren and Congress in-charge Ghulam Ahmad Mir announced that JMM and Congress would share 70 seats, while RJD and Left parties would share 11.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also announced its first list of 66 candidates. Babulal Marandi will contest from Dhanwar, and other candidates include Lobin Hembrom from Borio and Sita Soren from Jamtara.

The elections will occur in two phases, with votes counted on November 23.
