JEE Main 2025: Important Changes Announced by NTA

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a major change for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025. The option to select questions in Section B of the exam has been removed. This change was detailed in a notification released on the official JEE Main 2025 website.

End of Question Selection in Section B

During the COVID-19 pandemic, students were allowed to choose which questions to answer in Section B to reduce stress. However, with the World Health Organization declaring the end of COVID-19 as a public health emergency on May 5, 2023, the NTA has decided to return to the original exam format. From 2025, all candidates must attempt all five questions in Section B for each subject.

Application Process and Exam Structure

Tech), Paper 2A (B. Arch), and Paper 2B (B. Planning), each with five mandatory questions in Section B.
