JDU Leader Khalid Anwar Criticizes Rahul Gandhi

In Patna, Bihar, Dr. Khalid Anwar, a leader from the Janata Dal-United (JDU), criticized Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, for his comments on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and their treatment of tribal history. Anwar accused Gandhi of not following the Constitution, despite frequently carrying it.

Anwar stated, “Rahul Gandhi always carries the Constitution but does not follow it. This nation is run on BR Ambedkar’s Constitution and Rahul Gandhi should not find an opportunity here. BJP is the first nation who made a tribal woman the President of the nation. Rahul Gandhi will not get the support of the tribal people, Congress has always humiliated the tribals and the poor.”

Rahul Gandhi’s Criticism

Rahul Gandhi had criticized the BJP for using the term ‘Vanvasis’ and accused them of attempting to rewrite the history of the Adivasi community. His comments were made during the ‘Samvidhan Samman Sammelan’ in Ranchi, ahead of the Jharkhand elections.

Jharkhand Elections and Political Alliances

Dr. Anwar also commented on the Rashtriya Janata Dal’s (RJD) dissatisfaction with seat sharing in the Jharkhand assembly elections, suggesting that it is up to Tejashwi Yadav to decide whether to prioritize his party, family, or the state. Anwar expressed confidence that Yadav would remain with the JMM-Congress alliance.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced that the INDIA bloc will contest the Jharkhand Assembly polls together, with JMM and Congress contesting 70 of the 81 seats. Talks are ongoing with RJD and Left parties for the remaining seats. The elections will be held in two phases on November 13 and November 20, with votes counted on November 23.
