In Bengaluru, Karnataka, JD(S) Social Media Cell President Chandan HS has dismissed allegations made by Vijay Tata against Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy and MLC Ramesh Gowda. Chandan HS stated that Vijay Tata, who holds no position in the JD(S) Social Media Cell, is making these claims for publicity. The party plans to file a complaint against Tata.

Earlier, Vijay Tata filed a complaint at Amruthahalli Police Station, accusing HD Kumaraswamy and Ramesh Gowda of extortion and issuing death threats. Tata claimed they demanded Rs 50 crore for election expenses related to the Channapatna by-election and threatened his real estate business in Bangalore. Ramesh Gowda also allegedly requested Rs 5 crore for building a temple and school, warning of consequences if the money was not provided.
