West Indies’ cricketers Jayden Seales and Jason Holder have made significant gains in the recent ICC Men’s Test Player Rankings. The rankings were released by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday.
Jayden Seales’ Performance
Jayden Seales performed exceptionally well during the West Indies’ recent Test series against South Africa. Holder’s unbeaten half-century in the first innings of the second Test pushed him up to fifth in the all-rounder rankings and ensured a seven-spot jump to equal 60th on the list for Test batters.
Other Notable Movements
West Indies teammates Jomel Warrican and Shamar Joseph also gained ground in the Test rankings for bowlers. Warrican moved up two spots to 52nd, while Joseph climbed 11 places to 54th. South Africa’s Wiaan Mulder made a significant leap, moving up 27 places to 65th following his six wickets and Player of the Match performance.
ODI Player Rankings
There was also movement in the latest ODI Player Rankings. Netherlands’ skipper Scott Edwards rose six places to 26th on the list for ODI batters after a recent half-century against Canada. USA’s Aaron Jones moved up 11 places to equal 56th, and Dutch teammate Vikramjit Singh climbed nine spots to 79th. In the ODI bowlers’ list, Netherlands’ Aryan Dutt and Paul van Meekeren made significant progress, moving up to 33rd and 72nd, respectively.
