Jay Shah Praises State Cricket Associations for Busy Season

Jay Shah, Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), praised state associations for their hard work during the busy 2023-24 cricket season. The season included the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, IPL, WPL, and various international and domestic matches.

Shah also discussed new plans for the 2024-25 season, which were recommended by NCA Head of Cricket VVS Laxman, Team India head coach Rahul Dravid, and Chairman of the Senior Selection Committee Ajit Agarkar. These plans will be reviewed after one year.

Additionally, Shah updated on the development of new cricket facilities, including a Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru and indoor academies in the Northeastern states, Patna, and Jammu and Kashmir.

He expressed his gratitude to the ground staff for their efforts during the IPL season and announced financial rewards of Rs 25 lakhs for groundsmen and curators at the ten regular IPL venues, and Rs 10 lakhs per crew at the three new venues.
