Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh) [India], September 30: JanaSena Party leader Kiran Royal has accused the Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) government of corruption in the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple. He mentioned that there were scams involving prasadam, tickets, and engineering work.

Speaking to the media, Kiran Royal said, “The YSRCP government did a lot of corruption in the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple. A lot of scams were done in the ladoos, tickets, tender, and engineering work. The Andhra Pradesh state government’s vigilance teams are investigating all the irregularities.”

Regarding the Tirupati Prasadam scam, Kiran Royal stated, “A Public Interest Litigation has been submitted to the Supreme Court, and it will be heard today. We are committed to ensuring that all those involved in these scams are brought to justice. The SIT is currently investigating claims of adulteration in the prasadam laddus of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, and the truth about their wrongdoings will soon be revealed.”

Amid the ongoing investigation, the Vishva Hindu Parishad organized a protest demonstration at Kachiguda opposing the desecration of Tirupati laddu prasadam of Sri Venkateswara Swamy.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) visited Tirupati to begin its investigation into the issue of adulteration in Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) ‘Prasadam Laddu’. They held a meeting at Padmavathi Guest House in Tirupati to probe allegations of adulteration in Tirumala Laddoo Prasadam.

The controversy began after Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu claimed that substandard ingredients, including animal fat, were used in the preparation of Tirupati laddus during the previous YSRCP government. YSRCP leader Jagan Mohan Reddy accused CM Naidu of “blatantly lying” about the Tirupati Laddu Prasadam, adding that the ghee procurement e-tender is a routine process that has been happening for decades.

Reddy also mentioned, “The demon rule is continuing in the state. The government is trying to obstruct my upcoming visit to the Tirumala temple. Police have issued notices to YSRCP leaders across the state regarding the temple visit. The notice states that the visit to the Tirumala temple is not permitted, and the program organized by YSRCP does not have the necessary approval. Consequently, leaders are not allowed to participate in that programme.”
