Jammu and Kashmir Elections: BJP’s Ravinder Raina Confident of Victory

In Nowshera, Jammu and Kashmir, BJP chief Ravinder Raina expressed confidence in the party’s success in the upcoming assembly elections. He predicted that the BJP would secure 30-35 seats. The vote counting is set to begin at 8 am on Tuesday.

BJP’s Optimism

Ravinder Raina, after performing a religious ritual, stated, “We are confident that BJP and its supporting parties will win the elections with full majority.” Former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta echoed this sentiment, asserting that the BJP would emerge as the largest party, having led the region away from violence and towards development.

Security Measures and Counting Process

Security has been increased at counting centers in Jammu, Rajouri, Srinagar, and Ramban. The elections, held over three phases, were peaceful. Chief Electoral Officer PK Pole mentioned that counting would start with postal ballots at 7:30 am, followed by EVMs at 8 am. CCTVs have been installed in counting halls for transparency.
