Jagan Mohan Reddy and YS Sharmila Pay Tribute to Late YS Rajasekhara Reddy on His 75th Birth Anniversary

In Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy honored his father, the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy, on his 75th birth anniversary at the YSR Ghat in Pulivendula. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who leads the YSR Congress Party, was joined by his mother YS Vijayamma, other family members, and supporters.

Jagan Mohan Reddy shared a heartfelt message on social media, expressing how millions remember YS Rajasekhara Reddy and continue to follow his path of service and welfare. He emphasized the importance of his father’s discipline, hard work, and courage in politics.

YS Sharmila, the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee Chief and daughter of YS Rajasekhara Reddy, also paid tribute at the ghat. She expressed her gratitude and love for her father on social media, promising to uphold his legacy and ideology.

YS Rajasekhara Reddy, affectionately known as YSR, served as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh from 2004 to 2009. He was a prominent political figure, having been a member of the Lok Sabha from Kadapa for four terms and an MLA in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly for six terms. Tragically, he passed away in 2009 when his helicopter crashed in the Nallamala Forest area.
