Jagadguru Shri Rambhadracharya Awaits Decision on Mathura’s Krishna Janmabhoomi
In Jaipur, Rajasthan, spiritual leader Jagadguru Shri Rambhadracharya announced he will refrain from visiting any Krishna temples until a favorable decision is made regarding Mathura’s Krishna Janmabhoomi. He expressed confidence in achieving success in this matter. He stated, “Until the decision on Krishna Janmabhoomi comes in our favor, I will not go to any Krishna temple to have darshan. If I am called to the court to give evidence, I will go. Very soon success will be achieved.”
Regarding Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, he expressed optimism about its return to India. The dispute in Mathura involves the Shahi Idgah Mosque, reportedly built during Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb’s reign after demolishing a temple at Lord Krishna’s birthplace.
On October 23, the Allahabad High Court dismissed a plea by the Shahi Idgah Mosque committee to recall its January 11, 2024 order, which consolidated all suits filed by Hindu devotees related to the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah dispute. Justice Mayank Kumar Jain dismissed the plea, which concerned 15 cases. The court had reserved its decision on October 16. The January 11 decision consolidated 15 suits related to the dispute, based on an application by Hindu plaintiffs under Order IV-A of the Civil Procedure Code. On August 1, Justice Jain also rejected applications from the Shahi Idgah Mosque committee challenging the maintainability of the cases filed by the opposing party.
