ITI Limited Wins Major BharatNet Phase-3 Project Bids

State-owned telecom company ITI Limited has emerged as the lowest bidder for significant parts of the BharatNet Phase-3 project. This project covers the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Manipur, with an order value of Rs 1,537 crores. Additionally, ITI Limited secured bids in Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, totaling Rs 3,022 crores. Overall, ITI Limited’s bids amount to Rs 4,559 crores.

The BharatNet Phase-3 project is divided into 16 packages across various states and union territories. BSNL invited tenders for the design, supply, construction, installation, upgradation, operation, and maintenance of the Middle Mile Network under a Design Build Operate and Maintain (DBOM) Model.

Rajesh Rai, Chairman and Managing Director of ITI Limited, expressed excitement about the company’s success in securing these bids. He stated, “We are ecstatic to have emerged as L1 for yet another Package of the prestigious BharatNet Phase-3 Project in the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland & Manipur. I feel this will be an inflection point for ITI and my whole team is excited to make the Company shine even brighter.”

Rai also highlighted the challenges and opportunities presented by the projects in difficult terrains like the Andaman and North East region, emphasizing the company’s commitment to excellence.

Other Achievements

Recently, ITI Limited also won an order from the Bihar Renewable Energy Development Authority (BREDA) to supply and install 100,000 Solar Street Light Systems for the Bihar government, valued at Rs 300 crores.

ITI Limited operates manufacturing facilities in six locations across India, including Bengaluru, Naini, Raebareli, Mankapur, Srinagar, and Palakkad. The company also has a research and development center in Bengaluru and various marketing, sales, and project offices nationwide.
