Israel’s Strikes in Lebanon: Key Hamas Leaders Eliminated
On Saturday, Israel conducted a significant strike resulting in the death of Muhammad Hussein Ali al-Mahmoud, a senior Hamas leader. The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that this operation was a joint effort by the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) and the Israeli Security Agency (ISA). Mahmoud was responsible for directing terrorist activities in Judea and Samaria and played a crucial role in supplying weapons for attacks against Israel.
In another operation, Said Alaa Naif Ali, a senior member of Hamas’ Military Wing in Lebanon, was also eliminated. He was involved in recruiting Hamas operatives and carrying out attacks against Israeli targets.
Additionally, Hezbollah has reportedly lost contact with Hashem Safieddine, a potential successor to its late leader Hassan Nasrallah, following an Israeli strike.
Over the past four days, Israel has targeted over 2,000 military sites and eliminated around 250 Hezbollah terrorists, including several commanders. The Israeli Air Force has been conducting preemptive strikes in southern Lebanon as part of these operations.
