Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu Responds to Iran’s Missile Attack
Tel Aviv, Israel – On October 2, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed Iran’s missile strikes on Israel, stating that Iran made a big mistake and would pay for it. At the start of the Security Cabinet Meeting, Netanyahu emphasized that Israel would counter-attack anyone who attacks them.
In a post on X, Netanyahu said, “Iran made a big mistake tonight – and it will pay for it.” He also expressed condolences to the families of those killed in a terrorist attack in Jaffa and wished a quick recovery to the wounded, attributing the attack to Tehran.
Netanyahu affirmed that Israel would exact a price for the attack, stating, “The regime in Tehran does not understand our determination to defend ourselves and to exact a price from our enemies.” He mentioned that the missile attack by Iran failed due to Israel’s advanced air defense system and thanked the IDF and the US for their support.
Netanyahu highlighted that Israel is fighting the ‘axis of evil’ everywhere, including in Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, and Iran. He called for the forces of light in the world to unite against the ayatollahs’ regime, which he described as the source of terror and evil in the region.
He assured that Israel would do everything to achieve their war objectives, including the return of all hostages, and ensure their existence and future. Netanyahu concluded by urging the world to stand with Israel, emphasizing the choice between tyranny and freedom.
Israeli Minister of Defence, Yoav Gallant, also commented on the situation, stating that those who attack Israel pay a heavy price. He praised the IDF’s successful defense against the Iranian missile attack.
