Israeli President Isaac Herzog is departing for state visits to Albania and Serbia, marking the first time an Israeli leader will visit Albania, a predominantly Muslim country. The visit aims to strengthen security, strategic, and political partnerships during the ongoing war.
Visit to Serbia
President Herzog will be received by Serbia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marko Duric, and will have an official ceremony with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. He will also meet with Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vucevic and Speaker of the Parliament Ana Brnabic. Additionally, Herzog will participate in a ceremony at the Holocaust memorial and meet with the Jewish community.
Visit to Albania
In Albania, President Herzog will be welcomed by President Bajram Begaj and will hold meetings with Prime Minister Edi Rama and Speaker of the Parliament Elisa Spiropali. He will also meet with descendants of Albanian citizens who saved Jews during the Holocaust and participate in a ceremony at the Holocaust memorial in Tirana.
