On October 12, Israeli forces targeted the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, resulting in the deaths of at least 22 people, including women and children. The Israeli military has issued evacuation orders for residents in northern Gaza, urging them to move to the southern part of the enclave due to increasing violence.

Food Aid Crisis in Northern Gaza

The escalating violence has disrupted food aid since October 1. The World Food Programme (WFP) warned that their supplies are running low. WFP shared on social media that the violence is severely impacting food security, with no food aid entering the north since the beginning of October.

Cross-Border Tensions with Lebanon

Amid the ongoing Middle East crisis, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that approximately 30 projectiles were fired from Lebanon into Israeli territory, causing sirens to sound in the Upper Galilee region. The IDF also noted that multiple rocket launches have been identified from Lebanon since the Yom Kippur fast began. Two UAVs crossed from Lebanon into central Israel, with one hitting a civilian building and another being intercepted.
