Israel Eliminates Senior Hezbollah UAV Commander

Khader Al-Abed Bahja’s Role in Hezbollah

Israel has confirmed the elimination of Khader Al-Abed Bahja, a senior commander in Hezbollah’s UAV operations. Bahja was responsible for overseeing the group’s aerial activities north of the Litani River. Under his leadership, numerous attacks using UAVs and explosive aircraft were conducted against Israeli civilians and IDF troops.

Israel’s Response to Hezbollah’s Attacks

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have prioritized dismantling Hezbollah’s Unit 127, which manages the terror group’s unmanned aerial vehicles. This decision follows a recent drone attack on an army base in the central Binyamin region, resulting in the deaths of four soldiers and injuries to nearly 60 others.

Hezbollah’s Continued Aggression

Following the Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023, Hezbollah, backed by Iran, has been launching daily rocket and drone attacks on northern Israeli communities. As a result, over 68,000 residents have been displaced. Despite United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701, which prohibits Hezbollah’s operations south of the Litani River, the group continues its aggressive actions.
