Israel Eliminates Hezbollah Commander Jaafar Khader Faour in Southern Lebanon
In a major operation, Israel has announced the elimination of Jaafar Khader Faour, a key commander in Hezbollah’s Nasser Unit, responsible for the Missiles and Rockets Array. This operation took place in the Jouaiyya area of southern Lebanon.
Details of the Operation
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) shared that Faour was behind several devastating rocket attacks on Israeli territories. These attacks resulted in the tragic deaths of civilians, including those from Kibbutz Ortal, 12 children in Majdal Shams, and five civilians in Metula.
Faour’s command also orchestrated terrorist attacks from eastern Lebanon, starting on October 8, targeting Israeli areas.
Additional Operations
In a separate operation, Israeli naval commandos conducted a raid in northern Lebanon, capturing a Hezbollah official named Imad Amhaz. This raid was carried out by the Navy’s Shayetet 13 commando unit, approximately 140 kilometers north of Israel’s maritime border with Lebanon.
Amhaz, considered a significant source of knowledge in Hezbollah’s naval force, is now in Israeli custody for questioning by Unit 504, focusing on Hezbollah’s naval operations.
