Israel Defence Forces Destroy Terror Tunnel and Eliminate 100 Terrorists in Gaza

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) announced that they have destroyed a kilometer-long terror tunnel and eliminated around 100 terrorists in the central Gaza Strip. The operation was carried out by the IDF’s 99th Infantry Division, which is the only reserve division operating in Gaza.

During the operation, more than 100 terrorist structures were destroyed. These included weapons storage facilities, observation posts, rocket launch pits, and underground tunnel routes. The 99th Division has been actively fighting in central Gaza for the past few months.

The terror tunnel was destroyed with the help of the Yahalom (Diamond) Special Forces Engineering Unit. The tunnel had branches that allowed terrorists to move between different underground locations. Additionally, the troops targeted a booby-trapped mosque that was being used as a hideout for terrorists. Secondary explosions at the mosque indicated the presence of large quantities of weapons stored at the site.
