In a major development, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have reported the death of Izz al-Din Kassab, a key figure in Hamas’ political bureau. Kassab was instrumental in managing Hamas’ connections with other terrorist groups in Gaza and directing military strategies in the region. The IDF highlighted that Kassab was one of the last senior members of Hamas’ political bureau in Gaza.

In a statement shared on X, the IDF confirmed Kassab’s elimination, emphasizing his role in coordinating relations between Hamas and other factions. Kassab was also responsible for planning terrorist attacks against Israel.

This announcement comes amid escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, with the latter launching over 4,400 projectiles towards Israel in the past month. The IDF has also uncovered thousands of explosive devices and dismantled numerous anti-tank missiles and RPGs.

Additionally, the IDF revealed finding Nazi symbols in civilian homes in Lebanon, attributing them to Hezbollah’s longstanding aim to destroy Israel.
