Israel Allows Humanitarian Aid into Gaza During Tactical Pauses

The Israeli agency COGAT (Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories) reported that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are allowing ‘tactical pauses’ in the Gaza fighting. These pauses, which occur from 10 AM to 2 PM, enable the transfer of humanitarian aid into Gaza and allow residents to replenish essential supplies like food and water.

During the week of June 28 to July 4, these pauses will take place in various neighborhoods in Khan Yunis. On Sunday night, a convoy of 13 food aid trucks and 5 fuel tankers entered Gaza directly through Gate 96. This marked the second time within a week that Gate 96 was used for direct entry of humanitarian aid into central Gaza.

Additionally, 311 trucks carrying humanitarian goods were transferred to Gaza on Sunday, bringing the total number of aid trucks entering Gaza in June to over 5,000. COGAT stated, ‘We will continue expanding our efforts to facilitate humanitarian aid into and throughout Gaza.’
