Indian cricketer Ishan Kishan celebrated his 26th birthday by visiting Shree Samadhi Mandir in Shirdi to seek blessings. He shared moments from his visit on Instagram, captioning his post with ‘Shraddha and Saburi.’

It has been a tough year for Kishan’s career. Earlier, he and Shreyas Iyer were excluded from the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) central contracts. Kishan also missed Ranji Trophy matches despite not playing for the national team. He was part of the Indian squad for the South Africa Test series last year but withdrew due to personal reasons. His last T20I appearance for India was in November last year.

After being left out of the contract list, Kishan returned to competitive cricket, playing for the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in the 18th DY Patil T20 Cup 2024 against Route Mobile Limited. He contributed to one dismissal and scored 19 runs off 12 balls, including two boundaries and a six. Kishan also played for the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, scoring 320 runs in 14 matches at an average of 22.86 and a strike rate of 148.84.

In T20I cricket, Kishan has made 32 appearances, scoring 796 runs at an average of 25.7 and a strike rate of 124.4. In ODI cricket, he has played 27 matches, scoring 933 runs at an average of 42.4 and a strike rate of 102.2, including one hundred and seven fifties. In red-ball cricket, he has made two appearances, scoring 78 runs at a strike rate of 85.7 and an average of 78.0.
