Iron Rods and Gas Cylinder Found on Railway Tracks in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh
Nine iron rods were recovered from the Bathinda-Delhi railway track in Punjab, according to Government Railway Police (GRP) officials. Investigating Officer Shavinder Kumar stated that a train had to stop early Sunday morning after the rods were spotted. The rods were removed around 3 am, and an FIR was registered against unknown persons.
In another incident on Sunday, a major tragedy was averted in Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh when a 5-litre empty gas cylinder was found on the railway tracks near Prempur railway station at around 5:50 am. The loco pilots of a goods train reported the cylinder, and the train was halted. The cylinder was inspected and removed from the tracks.
Similarly, on September 19, a metal pole was found on the railway tracks between Bilaspur Road and Rudrapur City in Uttarakhand. The loco pilot of the train reported the 6-meter-long iron pole, and the train was stopped. Investigations are ongoing for all incidents.
